Software studio · Cape Town

Prototypes are easy. Production is the work.

PXL is a Cape Town software studio. We engineer web platforms, AI systems and integrations for clients, and launch our own products in PXL Labs.

One studio

Two engines. One standard.

PXL Solutions

We build for you.

Web platforms, AI systems and integrations, engineered for your operations and measured against one number you care about.

PXL Labs

We build for ourselves.

Products, prototypes and experiments, built in public with honest statuses. They're how we learn hard problems before you pay us to.

What we learn shipping our own products goes into yours.

client work surfaces real problems → Labs turns them into products → products become proof → proof wins the next client

PXL Labs · Mako

Prototype

Built here first.

Mako reads a borrower's documents, structures the financials and drafts a credit summary an analyst can check line by line. Scoped with a prospective lender, then built as a proof of concept to the same scope.

It never approves or declines. It prepares the file, cites every figure, and leaves the decision with a person.

PXL Solutions

What we build for you.

Three capabilities, one standard: if it isn't measured, it isn't finished.

Web platforms

Fast, considered sites and web apps on Next.js. Built to be measured, maintained and handed over.

  • — Marketing sites and product sites
  • — Client portals and dashboards
  • — Internal tools

AI systems

Document processing, analysis and workflow agents, with a human in the loop and a trail behind every output.

  • — Document extraction
  • — Analysis and drafting
  • — Evaluation before launch

Integrations and APIs

Your CRM, bank feeds, payment rails and internal tools, talking to each other.

  • — Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce
  • — Paystack and payment flows
  • — Your own APIs and webhooks

Proof

Measured, not promised.

Watch a pilot run: Consult Digital's CEO was losing afternoons to outreach. This is the system that took it over, and what changed.

IT services

Measured
hours returned to the CEO (2,600+ minutes)
45+
personalised emails a month to decision-makers
400+
in time value recovered
~R14,000
  1. Before

    Every week, by hand:

    • Searching LinkedIn and databases for contacts
    • Deciding who in each company was worth reaching
    • Writing personalised emails one by one
    • Tracking follow-ups and results by hand
  2. Step 01

    Lead sourcing

Contact data pulled from Apollo via Apify against predefined criteria: profiles, titles, business emails and company descriptions.

  3. Step 02

    Decision-maker filtering

An AI step reviews each lead and keeps the people who can buy: CEOs, operations managers, IT directors.

  4. Step 03

    Personalised drafting

Each email references the prospect's business, location or industry, so it reads as written for them.

  5. Step 04

    Campaign tracking

Leads, campaigns and responses stored in Supabase and shown on a custom dashboard.

  6. Step 05

    Weekly report

A summary email every week: leads sourced, emails sent, progress. No dashboard login required.

  7. After

The CEO reviews a weekly report and spends the time on strategy and closing.

How we work

Small steps, real numbers.

Every engagement starts small enough to prove itself. Scale it only if the number moves.

  1. 01 · 30 min, free

    Scope

A call to find the one workflow worth fixing first, and the number that says it worked.

  2. 02 · 2–4 weeks

    Pilot Sprint

One workflow, one metric, fixed scope. You see the number move before anything scales.

  3. 03 · Scoped

    Build

The platform or system, built properly: tested, reviewed, documented, handed over.

  4. 04 · Optional retainer

    Run

Monitoring, improvements and new workflows, month to month.

Physics trains you to model a messy system, measure it, and distrust your first answer. PXL builds software the same way: model the workflow, ship the smallest thing that works, measure what changed.

PXL takes on a small number of client builds each quarter, scheduled around a full academic load. Fewer projects, done properly.

Have a workflow that should run itself?

Tell us what's eating your team's week. We'll tell you, honestly, whether software can fix it.
